Case studies

Three engagements, anonymised at the clients' request. One per kind of problem we see most.

Government-linked · hundreds to thousands of Macs

From a Mac team of one to a platform

The problemA fast-growing public body with a few hundred Macs managed by hand, a service desk built for Windows, and a security team asking for evidence it didn't have.
What we builtJamf Pro rebuilt as a platform: zero touch through Apple Business Manager, CIS-benchmark profiles with a report on every device record, smart groups by department, and single sign-on at the login window.
What changedThe estate grew from hundreds of Macs to thousands over two years without adding a second Mac team. Onboarding became a box in the post. Security questionnaires are answered from the console.
In their words"Champions for PaaS. We have seen our estate grow from hundreds to thousands in just a couple of years." Apple Service Owner

Media · creative teams on tight deadlines

Replacing an MDM without stopping the presses

The problemA media group on an MDM that had drifted for years: half its policies did nothing, nobody knew why the other half existed, and the renewal quote had gone up again. Editors could not lose a day.
What we builtAn audit of every policy and profile, a clean rebuild in the new MDM rather than a copy, and our migration agent deployed through the old MDM to a pilot desk first, then department by department.
What changedNo device was wiped and no one re-imaged. Each person moved with a few clicks between stories. The old tenant was closed on schedule and the drift did not come back, because the new one is documented.
In their words"We've worked alongside onemorething for over three years now. Approachable, friendly and incredibly capable." Project Manager

Fintech · regulated, audited, growing fast

Evidence for the auditors, every day, automatically

The problemA fintech scaling quickly, with client due-diligence questionnaires arriving faster than the IT team could answer them, and a Mac estate whose security settings lived in people's heads.
What we builtCIS-level configuration enforced from the MDM, identity joined to the directory so leavers lose access the same day, patching automated, and the estate's health reported on a dashboard the compliance team can read.
What changedEncryption, patch state and access reviews stopped being a spreadsheet exercise. Joiners start with a working, compliant Mac on day one. The IT team got its week back.
In their words"Experts, experts and experts. It's easy to understand why they are leading the way." Senior Delivery Manager

How we work

Straight talkers, no sales team, and a habit of looking at the system from the user's side first and working back to the technology.

Proactive, not reactiveWe'd rather tell you about a problem before it's a ticket. Reporting is set up on day one for that reason.
The whole lifecycleFrom pre-deployment consultancy to wipe, buyback and recycling at end of life, with everything in between.
Automation with a human touchWe automate the routine so the people on your team get a person when they need one.
Your team learns it tooWe document what we build and train your IT team to run it. You're never locked in to us.
